Enrico Rinaldi is a highly experienced research professional specializing in quantum computing, dark matter, and machine learning. Currently serving as the Lead R&D Scientist at Quantinuum since November 2022, Enrico leads research initiatives at the intersection of quantum computing applications and high energy physics. Since September 2016, Enrico has held a Senior Research Scientist position at RIKEN and has also contributed as a Visiting Scientist, focusing on machine learning methods applied to quantum systems. Enrico's previous roles include research fellowships at the University of Michigan and Arithmer, alongside postdoctoral research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where Enrico studied beyond the Standard Model physics employing Lattice Gauge Theory. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Edinburgh.
