Steven Labkoff

Global Head, Clinical & Healthcare Informatics at Quantori

Steven Labkoff is one of the leading clinician-informaticians in the US today with nearly 30 years of experience in the life sciences and healthcare sector. Trained in medical informatics, cardiology, and internal medicine (Harvard, MIT, University of New Jersey, and University of Pittsburgh), Steve has deep expertise in generating, managing, and analyzing data to accelerate drug development, personalize patient care, and improve medical outcomes.

At Quantori, Steve serves as Global Head of Clinical and Healthcare Informatics, assisting life science clients to develop and implement innovative informatics solutions throughout the entire drug development lifecycle. In addition, he is working with foundations and not-for-profit groups in helping with data acquisition, management, and analytics to assist these organizations meet their long-term goals.

Previously, Steve was Chief Data Officer for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the largest non-profit in the world focused on accelerating a cure for multiple myeloma. In that role, he architected, built, and ran the largest multi-data registry in oncology for multiple myeloma, enabling patients, clinicians, and researchers to combine multiple types of data (real-world data, genomics, and immunologics) to better understand their disease and subsequently to find more personalized treatments.

His life sciences career includes leadership positions at Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Deloitte Consulting. He also was Vice President of Life Sciences for Intelligent Medical Objects, a medical ontology and vocabulary company. While there, he prototyped and architected new applications to re-encoding clinical data with concept codes, resulting in a patent for identifying patients for clinical trials by using clinical concept codes.

In addition, Steve is a fellow at the American College of Medical Informatics, the American College of Physicians (ACP), and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).
