Ronald Walsworth

Co-Founder at Quantum Diamond Technologies

Ronald Walsworth has an extensive work experience in the field of quantum technology and physics. Ronald is currently serving as the Founding Director of the Quantum Technology Center and as the Minta Martin Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Department of Physics at the University of Maryland. Ronald is also a Co-Founder of Quantum Catalyzer (Q-Cat), Quantum Diamond Technologies Inc, and Hyperfine. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Senior Physicist and Physicist at the Smithsonian Institution for almost three decades. Ronald was also a Faculty Member at Harvard University and a Scientific Advisory Board member at Butterfly Network, Inc. and Quantum-Si.

Ronald Walsworth obtained their B.S. degree in Physics from Duke University in 1984. Ronald then completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at Harvard University, graduating in 1991.
