Position Overview

Quantum FBI is looking for all areas relating to financial reporting for firm clients. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end client tax and audit projects, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Accounting Manager will have contact with clients and client contacts, including the client’s tax accountant and other professional service providers.

Location: The position is fully remote and can be located anywhere in Colombia

Primary Responsibilities

· Overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information

· Implementing new accounting processes to improve efficiencies

· Formulating accounting and operational policies, procedures, and controls

· Knowledge of accrual-based accounting is required

· Revenue, expense and cash tracking and management

· Manage month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries for accuracy and completeness.

· Complete and review variance analysis and account reconciliations

· Continuously improve and make recommendations on process improvement of daily and monthly tasks.

· Quarterly reporting and presentations as necessary

· Financial statement preparation, consolidations, and profit & loss

· Year-end audit support

· Raises issues with potential solutions if discrepancies are encountered

· Bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations

· Payroll reconciliations

· Review and approval of account classifications

· Review of G/L for any missing transactions and overall accuracy

· Learning and demonstration of evolving accounting and technology skills

· Platform management (Bill.com, Expensify, Stripe, Intacct)

· Supervision and management of A/R, A/P, and Payroll staff

· Shares knowledge and offers help to other team members when needed

Required Qualifications

· BS degree in Accounting

· 5+ years in a relevant Accounting role preferred, a mix of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred. Knowledge of GAAP required

· Currently Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License

· Exceptional software skills, including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software systems. Sage Intacct and NetSuite are a plus

· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, sum if, etc.)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent collaborator and team player

· Proven record of meeting deadlines
