Ghassan Jabbour

Ghassan Jabbour serves as the Director of the Advanced Materials and Devices Laboratories and is a Canada Research Chair Tier 1-Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa since 2016. As a founding member and Chief Scientific Officer at Quantum Materials Corp and Solterra Renewable Technologies, Inc., Ghassan Jabbour focuses on research involving quantum dot materials for advanced solar cell technologies. Prior to current roles, Ghassan Jabbour held various academic and leadership positions, including Director of the Renewable Energy Center at the University of Nevada Reno and Founding Director of the Solar and Voltaics Research Center at KAUST. Ghassan Jabbour's educational background includes advanced degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, with a postdoctoral associate position in Laser Spectroscopy of Quantum Dots from the University of Arizona.
