Peter Lim

Vice President Silicon R+d / Santa Clara Site Leader at Quantum-Si

Peter Lim has a strong background in the technology industry, with experience in leadership roles at various companies. Peter began their career at IBM Corp. as a Research Staff Member before moving on to work at Chrontel Inc., where they managed the Mixed-signal IC Design and Video and Clock-Synthesizer Product Groups. At Oak Technology Inc., Peter served as the Director of Corporate Mixed-Signal Design for the Optical Storage Business Unit, overseeing the development of a groundbreaking single-chip CD-ROM controller. Peter then founded PJL Design Inc., where they served as President and Principal. Peter later joined Nvidia Corporation as Vice President of Mixed-Signal IC Design and Signal-Integrity. In their most recent role at Samsung Electro-mechanics, they served as Senior Vice President of Corporate R+D and led the Modules Business Unit, successfully guiding the commercialization of multiple product lines. Currently, Peter holds the position of Vice President of Silicon R+D and Palo Alto Site Leader at Quantum-Si, where they lead the silicon development efforts for cutting-edge photon-counting imagers for bio-technical applications.

Peter Lim completed their education in Electrical Engineering. Peter obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Caltech, attending from 1981 to 1985. Peter then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree at Stanford University, studying from 1985 to 1986. Continuing their studies at Stanford, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering from 1986 to 1990.
