Jennifer Meko

Jennifer Meko has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jennifer currently serves as the Senior Medical Director at Quartz Health Solutions, where they oversee the management of health insurance plans and focuses on community-based healthcare services. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Medical Director Health Plan at Martin's Point Health Care, where they successfully managed medical expenses and implemented utilization management strategies. Jennifer also held the position of Senior Medical Director at myNEXUS, where they built and led a team responsible for case review and prior authorization of home health services. Additionally, they worked as the Medical Director at naviHealth, optimizing patient outcomes and cost efficiencies for population health and value-based care initiatives. Jennifer has also served as the Medical Director for Network Quality at Ascension and the Medical Director of the Medicare Advantage Division at Blue Cross Blue Shield Tennessee. In their earlier career, they held the roles of Chief Science Officer and Medical Director at eviCore healthcare, where they focused on maximizing cost efficiencies and developing evidence-based guidelines. Jennifer Meko has an extensive education history in the medical field. Jennifer completed their Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Jennifer also completed a General Surgery Internship and Residency Program at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Jennifer holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

For their undergraduate studies, Jennifer attended Princeton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Molecular Biology.

In addition to their education, Jennifer has obtained several certifications. Jennifer is certified in Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), which they achieved in December 2010. Jennifer is also certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, obtained in June 2002. Jennifer has further enhanced their qualifications by earning the designation of Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from the American Association for Physician Leadership.
