Ryan Strum has held various positions in the field of optics since 2013. Ryan began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University. In 2015, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at San Diego State University and a Summer Intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they helped design and implement a radiation resistant fiber optic sensor. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Optical Engineer at ASML, where they worked with high power lasers and active optical components, and demonstrated the feasibility of a new EOM crystal for CO2 beam modulation. Currently, they are a Quantum Optics Research Engineer at Qubitekk, Inc.
Ryan Strum obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Michigan State University in 2014, followed by a Master's Degree in Physics from San Diego State University in 2017.
