Julian Egan is a seasoned policy adviser with extensive experience in energy policy, conflict resolution, and international relations. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Adviser in the Queensland Government's Office of the Minister for Energy & Clean Economy since November 2023, Julian provides strategic advice on energy and climate change initiatives. Previously, Julian held prominent roles including Director of Policy Advocacy & Communications and Head of Advocacy at International Alert, and Acting Director of the Fragility & Conflict Section at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Julian's international experience includes significant positions with NATO and the Australian Government Aid Program, alongside a legal background from the Crown Solicitor's Office of South Australia. Julian holds a Master of National Security Studies from King's College London and dual bachelor's degrees in Law and International Studies from Flinders University.
