Anthony Sowerbutts

Research Associate in R&D at QuellTX

Anthony Sowerbutts has a diverse work experience. Anthony most recently worked as a Research Associate in R&D at Quell Therapeutics, where they contributed safety data and assessed efficacy and safety of cell therapy products. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate in Treg Production at the same company, where they grew and transduced T regulatory cells and performed flow cytometric analysis.

Anthony also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Cardiff University, screening gamma delta T cells for Continuum Life Sciences, with the aim of developing new cancer immunotherapies.

Additionally, Anthony has experience in the service industry, working as a waiter/runner at Sonny's Kitchen. Anthony also worked as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Aberdeen, where they explored ways to induce and monitor translational stress caused by the expression of a foreign gene in yeast.

In addition to their professional experience, Anthony also worked as a French and piano tutor.

Anthony Sowerbutts completed their French Scientific Baccalaureate from Lycée Jean Jaurès in the years 2012 to 2015. Anthony then pursued their higher education at the University of Aberdeen from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology.
