Jorge Albornoz

Jorge Albornoz has over 20 years of work experience in the IT and insurance industries. Jorge began their career in 1998 as an IT Director at F.D.F., a scientific company in Chile, where they implemented the System and Technology area and developed the company's website. In 2001, they joined AIG as a Subgerente de IT, responsible for business application operations and technology infrastructure. During their time at AIG, they successfully implemented a new core system according to AIG Corp and AXS1 Financial directives.

In 2008, Albornoz moved to Liberty Seguros as a Subgerente de IT & Workstream Leader for Latam, where they managed business applications and technology infrastructure. Jorge also worked on databases, help desk, exchange systems, and web platforms.

In 2010, Albornoz became the Regional Operations Head for Latin America at Liberty International. In this role, they were responsible for governance, strategy, technology service, operational efficiency, and projects for the LATAM region. Jorge oversaw the design and implementation of a regional data center in Kansas City, MO and led the process of moving data centers from local locations in various LATAM countries to regional data centers in the USA.

From 2014 to 2017, Albornoz worked at MetLife as the Regional IT Head for LATAM. Jorge was responsible for governance, strategy, improvement plans, operational technology efficiency, and projects for the LATAM region, including several countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. Jorge successfully completed projects such as applications remediation and data center relocation, resulting in significant cost savings.

In 2017, Albornoz joined Arsicom as a CIO - Senior Advisor, providing their expertise and guidance in the IT field.

Later in 2017, they joined MFX Services as the Regional Engagement Manager for the Latam Region. In this role, they were responsible for improving and supporting operations in Chile, Argentina, and Colombia. Jorge introduced new technologies and digital solutions to address market challenges and enhance the customer experience.

Jorge Albornoz completed their education in a chronological order. Jorge first attended Universidad del Bío Bío from 1989 to 1996, earning a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Computer and Information Systems. Following this, they pursued further education at Universidad de Concepción from 1997 to 1998, where they obtained a diploma in Industrial Engineering. Finally, in 2005 and 2006, Jorge attended Universidad de Chile to earn a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration.
