Are you a Data Architect or a seasoned Data Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a talented individual with a strong data background ready to transition into the role of a hands-on Data Architect. In this role, you can leverage your expertise in data management, modeling, and architecture to design and implement comprehensive solutions on the Azure cloud platform. You will work closely with our leaders to understand their data needs and develop scalable and efficient data architectures to support their business objectives.

In this role you will:

  • As a Data Architect, you will design, implement, and maintain data architectures using Azure cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate across our organization to understand the data needs and business requirements and translate them into robust data architecture solutions on the Azure platform.
  • Design, implement, and optimize data solutions using Azure data services such as Azure, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Blob storage, and Databricks.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data solutions by implementing best practices for data governance, data security, and data quality.
  • Be the expert to development teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Provide architectural guidance, focusing on the design discussions around data lake and data modeling to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud data management and analytics.
  • Use other technologies such as Python, SQL, Spark, Power BI, and Azure DevOps as needed.

What it requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data analytics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, data integration, data quality, and data governance.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks or similar technologies such as Snowflake.
  • Has implemented a production data lake or warehouse
  • Familiar with Power BI, Azure DevOps, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
