NOTE:  We are seeking candidates to be based in Peru. Preference will be given to candidates who are legally authorized to work in Peru and have a strong understanding of the local market, culture, or language, as these are integral to the role's success.

The hours for this role are 12-9pm EST

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, and as an integral part of Questel’s Language Solutions Team, this role is responsible to provide support to the Operations and Sales teams by managing various aspects of the translation lifecycle, assisting with new requests, and processing new orders.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist operations team with launching new projects
  • Initiate tasks for rush requests
  • Pre-process files before delivery to the translator, ensuring that the translator receives complete, organized files
  • Conduct postproduction quality assurance checks, and clearly communicate any issues to project managers
  • Source translation teams, administer tasks and monitor progress on behalf of the project manager
  • Prepare final delivery packages
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure client specifications are met
  • Manage project resources
  • Support operations team with other tasks, as needed, such as importing/exporting files
  • Monitor assigned projects to ensure all projects have been accepted by vendors
  • Monitor group inboxes and assign an email to appropriate personnel
  • Report unaccepted/unassigned projects to department managers
  • Assist with feasibility requests
  • Manage projects end-to-end that meet or exceed client requirements
  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  In addition, any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

  • Able to handle multiple demands, delays or interruptions, while still maintaining accuracy and timeliness

  • Demonstrate initiative, persistence, ability to problem-solve, and enthusiasm for learning

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, using professional tone and language; tactful and diplomatic with a clear, straightforward, courteous, and cooperative manner when dealing with others

  • Detail-oriented, thorough, accurate, and able to work quickly and steadily in a focused manner

  • Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, interruptions, and unexpected events

  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities, and creative thinking to readily offer client solutions

  • Previous internship or experience in a fast-paced office setting

  • Willing to participate in a culture of responsiveness to strengthen relationships and ensure the needs and time of others are met and respected

  • Fluent in English

  • Fluency in another language, other than English, is preferred but not required

Supervision is provided by the Operations Manager
