Job Description

Role

The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-growing company and possess a suite of skills related to leadership, accounting, P&L management, budgeting and forecasting, process orientation, and special projects. This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience of accounting and finance disciplines along with healthcare and insurance. The successful candidate will work directly for the Chief Financial Officer to consolidate and report the company’s financial results, ensure compliance to standard policies and processes and will coordinate with the rest of the company to help accomplish corporate goals.

The role will appeal to individuals who “roll up their sleeves”, are flexible in their approach, and keen to have significant influence on an organization at a key stage of its growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CFO and the C-Suite to produce the annual budget and forecast
  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements with updates to budget
  • Presentation of financial statements and performance metrics to the leadership team
  • Responsible for internal controls over financial reporting and reviews of key reconciliations
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and resources of the accounting department: revenue cycle management, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to support the organization and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Provide training, guidance and direction to employees to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely and knowledgeable manner
  • Prepare and provide financial reports and analysis on a scheduled and unprompted basis

Experience:

  • Expert at generally accepted accounting principles

  • Healthcare experience, including revenue cycle management

  • Experience with ERPs and financial consolidation tools.

  • Great organizational and time management, supervisory, and communication skills

  • Strong analytical, decision making and fact-based solution skills

  • Effective oral, written and presentation skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office
