Luc Castera

Luc Castera has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Luc is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at Roots of Development. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager at QuickNode (We're Hiring!) and was responsible for overseeing the QuickNode Marketplace. Luc also founded Bluejay Labs LLC, a micro SaaS company that developed simple solutions for everyday problems, including htmlsig.com and passpass. Luc later founded Octopi by Navis.

Luc's earlier experience includes working at Intellum as a CTO and Full-Stack Software Developer. Luc also co-founded ShareMeme, Inc. and held the role of Co-Founder and CTO. Before that, they worked as a Software Systems Architect at Verizon and gained experience as an Embedded Software Developer (Intern) at Delphi, where they implemented automated power mode timing measurements for Toyota car radios. Additionally, Luc served as a Manufacturing/Testing Engineer (Intern) at GE Security, where they initiated a plan to manufacture cable assemblies in-house and designed a cable tester to reduce defects. Luc Castera was also the Organizer of ErlangDC, a technology conference.

Luc Castera has a strong education background in electrical engineering. Luc obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Luc then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, attending from 2004 to 2005. Prior to their university education, Luc completed their French Baccalauréat at Lycée Alexandre Dumas, between 1988 and 2000. Alongside their formal education, Luc has also attained various certifications, including "Introduction to Finance: The Basics" and "R Programming" from Coursera, as well as "Section4 Certified Data & Analytics" from Section4. These certifications were obtained in different years, with the most recent being "Introduction to Finance: The Basics" in February 2023.
