Aris Samad

Aris Samad is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience across multiple companies in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Shadow since May 2024, previous roles include Staff Software Engineer at Brex from July 2021 to January 2024, where Aris developed the architecture and guidelines for Core Data to facilitate self-serve data analytics. Prior to that, Aris held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Sisense, leading the design and implementation of a critical Data Engine platform that supports over 600 customers. As a Software Engineering Manager at Periscope Data, Aris managed a team focused on customer data infrastructure and also co-founded QuickSchools, serving as CEO and CTO, where a cloud-based Student Information System was developed. Early career experience includes leadership roles in start-ups and engineering positions at several tech companies, culminating in a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
