Luke Preston

Luke Preston has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Luke is currently working as the Head of Technology and Partnerships at Quickstep Group since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the First Believer at Startmate since August 2022.

Luke has significant experience in the automotive industry. Luke worked at Carbon Revolution as the Industrialization Director from October 2018 to July 2022. During their tenure, they established and developed industrialization processes, drove company growth through IPO and capital raising rounds, and engaged with investors for significant growth.

Luke also worked at Tesla Motors from 2014 to 2018, where they held several positions. Luke started as a Manufacturing Specialist in Final Assembly, gradually climbing the ladder to become a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering - General Assembly. In these roles, Luke was responsible for developing manufacturing processes, leading validation builds, implementing automation and equipment, and optimizing production lines.

Luke Preston has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from RMIT University, which they obtained between 2000 and 2004. In 2008, they completed a Six Sigma Black Belt program at Ford, and in 2011, they completed The Dale Carnegie Course on Effective Communications & Human Relations at Dale Carnegie Training.
