Ernie Prabhakar

Ernie Prabhakar has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ernie currently holds the position of Director of Product at Quilt Data since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Nauto as the Business Data Lead and IT Business Applications Lead from 2016 to 2022. At Nauto, Ernie designed and evangelized the "Opera House" architecture to integrate Salesforce and NetSuite using Modern Data Stack technologies. Ernie also evaluated and configured a next-generation Business Data Lakehouse using DataBricks, FiveTran, Hightouch, and Quilt Data.

Before Nauto, Ernie worked as an Entrepreneurial Coach at Quilt Data, Inc. from 2015 to 2016. Ernie also held the position of Director of Platform Product Management at Matterport for a brief period in 2015.

Ernie's entrepreneurial experience includes founding and leading The Swan Factory, where they built an app using Node.js, CoffeeScript, and Reactive-Coffee. Ernie managed a global team and successfully delivered a complete single-page web app. Ernie also created a new paradigm for learning programming.

Ernie's career at Apple started in 1997, where they held various roles. Ernie served as a Developer Infrastructure Evangelist, building and managing technology platforms to amplify the reach of Apple's Technology and Design Evangelists. Ernie also worked as an Open Source/Web 2.0 Product Manager. During their time at Apple, Ernie made significant contributions to projects such as the WWDC Intranet and Jive Developer Forums.

Before Apple, Ernie worked at Boston Consulting Group as an Associate Consultant, focusing on shareholder value management and valuation models. Prior to that, they volunteered at NeXT as the Co-Founder and President of NeXTSTEP User Groups International.

Ernie Prabhakar completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 1984 and 1988. Ernie then pursued their higher education at Caltech and received their Ph.D. in Physics from 1988 to 1995. Furthermore, Ernie Prabhakar obtained a certification in Model Thinking from Coursera in September 2012.
