Steve Pereira has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Steve started their career in 2013 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Goa Shipyard Limited. In 2015, they joined Microcool Systems Pvt Ltd as an HVAC Engineer. In 2017, they joined Quimera Energy Efficiency as a Project Engineer. In this role, they led a team of engineers for hotels energy efficiency audits and implementation of energy efficiency measures for efficient building operation. Steve also conducted analysis of utility bills, internal engineering data as well as property independent variables such as occupancy, food covers, laundry load, etc. Additionally, they conducted energy savings and financial analysis for Capex retrofit projects such as chiller replacement, hot water production retrofit, etc. In 2018, they were promoted to Project Manager and in 2019 they were promoted to Senior Project Manager.

Steve Pereira obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Padre Conceicao College of Engineering Agnel Ashram Verna between 2008 and 2012. Steve also holds certifications from Autodesk (Building Performance Analyst (BPA) obtained in November 2015), the Association of Energy Engineers (Certified Energy Manager (CEM) obtained in January 2020), the Efficiency Valuation Organization (Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) obtained in July 2019), and the Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) (Performance Measurement and Verification Analyst (PMVA) obtained in June 2022).
