Emma Hodgson

Emma Hodgson has a long and varied work experience. Emma began their career in 2002 as a Java Developer at IC Consulting. In 2004 they moved to Golden Orb Technologies, where they held the same role. In 2005 they joined Morningstar as a Java Developer, and was quickly promoted to Senior Software Engineer/Technical Manager and then Technical Lead. In 2014 they joined Tyro Payments as a Delivery Lead, where they were responsible for leading up to 3 teams of engineers at any one time. In 2021 they moved to Domain as an Engineering Manager, and in 2022 they were promoted to Director of Engineering at Qwilr. At Tyro Payments, Emma was also an active member of the Women at Tyro group, responsible for generating agendas designed to influence and grow Tyro’s culture of inclusion.

Emma Hodgson obtained a Diploma of Business Programming in Computer Science from the Spherion Training Institute in the years 2000-2002. Emma then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Software Technology from Macquarie University.
