Niels Smidt

Niels Smidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability and financial services. Currently serving as a Sustainability Transformation Manager at Rabobank since July 2017, responsibilities include executing the bank's sustainability strategy and overseeing the establishment of a Sustainability Transformation Office. Previously, Niels held roles such as Head of Cashpooling and Product Owner within Tribe Payments, specializing in cash pooling products. Niels founded Overstag Consulting and worked as a Senior Advisor in business consultancy within the payments and e-identity sectors. Prior experience includes positions at Logica as a Business Consultant, Fit 4 Finance as a Finance and Control Consultant, and a traineeship at AkzoNobel focused on market research. Educational qualifications include an Executive Program in Corporate Social Responsibility from Erasmus School of Economics, an MSc in Economics from the University of Groningen, and a brief study at Cardiff University.
