Carolijn Ploem

Executive Board Member at Radboudumc

Carolijn Ploem (1968) became a member of Radboud university medical center’s Executive Board on 1 October 2020. As member of the board, she will be responsible for the Organization of Care and Human Resources portfolios.

Carolijn Ploem studied Economic Sciences at the University of Amsterdam and Managing Healthcare Delivery at Harvard Business School. Throughout her career, she has reorganized and optimized many processes related to health care and logistics. She is convinced that by optimizing care pathways and capacity, health care institutions can increase value for patients and keep health care affordable and available. She previously worked as the director of the Daniel den Hoed family house, part of Erasmus University Medical Center, since 2016. In that function, she and the institution’s chair were jointly responsible for the daily management of the Daniel den Hoed house. Prior to that, she worked as a Health Care Partner at Twynstra Gudde Advisors and Managers, and as COO of Equipe Zorgbedrijven.
