Chief Information Security Officer (ciso) at Radboudumc

Sander Vols has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sander currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Radboudumc since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Verdonck, Klooster & Associates as a Senior Consultant in Cybersecurity & Privacy from February 2018 to November 2020. Sander also held a role as a Project Consultant at the same company from December 2017 to February 2018.

Before their role at Verdonck, Klooster & Associates, Sander worked at the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a Senior Policy Officer in the Department of Telecom from December 2015 to December 2017. Sander also served as a Special Advisor to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations at Ministerie van BZK from March 2017 to July 2017.

Furthermore, Sander has experience leading initiatives, including their role as Chair of diplomatic mission to Kenya, representing the youth club of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Sander held this position from November 2016 to May 2017.

Additionally, Sander has held roles at the Ministry of Economic Affairs / Radiocommunications Agency Netherlands, including Senior Advisor from March 2014 to December 2015, Advisor from October 2013 to March 2014, and Legal Counsel from December 2012 to October 2013.

Sander also served as Vice President of the Board at JongEZ from October 2014 to October 2015, where they gained leadership experience.

Furthermore, Sander played a crucial role as a Co-founder and employee of the Centre for Public Order and Safety from May 2009 to May 2013. This initiative was part of the department of General Law at the University of Groningen.

Lastly, Sander worked as a Tax Consultant at the Tax and Customs Administration from 2011 to 2012. Sander also held the position of University Council at the University of Groningen from September 2006 to September 2007.

Sander Vols obtained a Bachelor and Master of Laws (LLM) degree specializing in ICT-Law from the University of Groningen, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Later in 2014-2015, they attended the Netherlands School of Public Administration and received a certificate in Supervision and Surveillance Course (LTN).
