Javier Ruiz

Javier Ruiz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of optical engineering. Javier started their career in 1986 at Hughes Aircraft as a Member Technical Staff and worked there until 1992. Javier then joined Hughes-JVC Technologies as a Member Technical Staff from 1994 to 1996. Javier worked as a Senior Optical Engineer at JVC from 1996 to 1999.

In 1998, they joined Scientific Computing International as a Principal Engineer and worked there until 2009. Javier then joined Nitto Denko Technical Corporation as a Researcher from 2009 to 2011. Javier served as a Sr. Optical Engineer at Rockwell Collins from 2011 to 2012.

From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Sr. Optical Test Engineer at Digital Optics Corporation. Javier then joined Cobham as a Software Engineer III (ATE) from 2014 to 2015. Javier also worked as a Sr. Optical Engineer at Trioptics-USA, Davidson Optronics from 2014 to 2016. Currently, Javier is employed at Radiant Vision Systems as a Staff Optical Software Engineer II since February 2016.

Javier Ruiz obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from UC San Diego. During their time there, they also pursued minors in Mathematics and Spanish Literature. After completing their undergraduate studies, Javier went on to pursue a Master's degree in Physics with a specialization in Computer Science from San Diego State University.

In terms of certifications, Javier has obtained several additional qualifications. Javier earned a certification in "Cert Prep: SOLIDWORKS Drawing Tools" from LinkedIn in January 2023. In April 2022, they obtained certifications in "Making Your C# 6 Code More Object-oriented," "Plurasight Encapsulation and SOLID," and "Parallel Computing with CUDA" from Plurasight. Prior to that, Javier acquired certifications in "Communicating with Empathy," "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence," "Improving Your Listening Skills," and "Interpersonal Communication" from LinkedIn in February 2021.
