Nicole Bedard

Nicole Bedard has a varied and extensive work experience in the field of art and design. Nicole started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2007, where they produced print collateral for the Communications Department. Following their internship, they were promoted to the position of interim senior graphic designer.

In 2008, Nicole joined Northeastern University as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching courses on 4D Tools and Time Based Design. Nicole designed and implemented curricula, prepared software tutorials, and guided students in developing their skills in video, motion graphics, and animation.

Nicole then moved on to work at Berklee College of Music, where they held multiple roles. As a Multimedia Producer from 2008 to 2013, they filmed, edited, and produced video and animation assets for the Berklee PULSE Music Method website, collaborating with curriculum writers and teachers to create age-appropriate learning materials. Nicole later became a Motion Graphics Designer in the Digital Learning Department, conceptualizing and delivering motion graphics and animation for online courses.

From 2013 to 2019, Nicole served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Northeastern University once again, this time teaching Time Based Design. Nicole guided mid-level college students in exploring communication through time, curated examples of time-based design, and developed student projects focused on kinetic typography and visual/aural narratives.

Since 2016, Nicole has been working at Gusto, an organization known for its creative force and expertise in animation, podcasting, and filmmaking. Nicole holds the role of Art Director, inspiring results and leading a formidable crew.

In 2016, Nicole also joined Matter Communications, where they have held various roles. As an Art Director, they contribute their expertise in creating inspiring visuals. Nicole has also served as a Senior Motion Graphics Designer/Animator and Motion Graphics Designer/Animator, showcasing their skills in motion design and animation.

Overall, Nicole Bedard has demonstrated their talent and passion for art direction, motion design, and teaching throughout their career.
