Don Tibbets

West Central Region Director - Recycling Operations at Radius Recycling

Don Tibbets has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Don started their career in 2003 at USDA-NRCS as a Field Engineer, where they gained expertise in planning and specifications, sustainability design, and wastewater treatment systems. In 2006, they joined Millennium Science and Engineering, Inc. as a Project Engineer, successfully managing high-profile projects and implementing innovative bioreactor architecture. In 2011, they transitioned to Republic Services and served in roles such as Operations Manager and General Manager in different locations, responsible for overseeing P&L, safety, customer contracts, fleet and people operations, and managing union contract negotiations. Currently, Don is working at Radius Recycling as the West Central Region Director - Recycling Operations.

Don Tibbets has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Boise State University. Don also has a vocational degree from Northwest Lineman College. In addition, they hold several certifications including 40-Hour OSHA Certified (HAZWOPER), Confined Space Certified, Engineer in Training (EIT) - State License, MSHA 16 Hour Certified, and Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO). The institutions from which they obtained these certifications include OSHA, the State of Idaho, Mining Safety & Health Administration, and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
