Thirumal Venkat

Thirumal Venkat began their work experience with an internship at GuRu Prevails in 2012, where they assisted with marketing, business research, and student workshops related to Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial Intelligence. They then joined IBM India Systems Development Lab as an Associate Software Engineer, where they primarily focused on learning the ropes in their first year and later worked on AIX CIFS and AIX TCP/IP user space architecture. In 2013, they became a Software Engineer at IBM and worked on AIX Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) architecture, implementing enhancements that led to faster system recovery and faster kernel trace starts. Thirumal Venkat joined Acalvio Technologies in 2016 as a Software Engineer, gaining extensive experience with APIs for provisioning, lifecycle, and management of cloud resources in Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, as well as working with SDN tech like OpenvSwitch and OpenFlow. They also developed various networking pieces, such as NAT, IPv4 Fragmentation, ARP, DHCP, and ALGs for FTP and Microsoft SMB. Currently, Thirumal Venkat is a Senior Software Engineer at Rafay since November 2020.

Thirumal Venkat studied at RV College of Engineering from 2008 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
