Nathan Bird Pe

Nathan Bird, PE, is an Associate Civil Engineer at RaganSmith, providing civil site design services across the southeastern United States since August 2018. Responsibilities include site layout, grading, utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and stormwater system design utilizing LID principles. In November 2020, Nathan founded and hosts Chattanooga Civics, a project aimed at examining local government involvement in significant contemporary issues in response to the events of 2020. Previously, Nathan held the position of Civil Engineering Design Professional at S&ME, Inc. from July 2015 to July 2018 and served as an Assistant Swim Coach at University School of Nashville in early 2015. Additionally, Nathan was the Head Swim Coach for the Signal Mountain Green Giants Swim Team in the summer of 2013, overseeing a team of over 200 swimmers. Nathan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, attended The University of Edinburgh for additional education, and graduated from McCallie School in 2011.
