Karina Valverde

Karina Valverde has over 17 years of professional experience in the fields of marketing, communications, and public relations. Karina began their career in 2003 as a Marketing Coordinator at HMA Associates Inc. In 2006, they joined AARP as a Translations Associate and Editorial Specialist. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as an independent Marketing and Communications Consultant, representing Furia Flamenca Dance Company, Dance Metro DC, and Old Town Theater. During this same period, they were also a Master's Candidate at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. In 2015, they were VP of Events and Chair of Corporate Relations at Prospanica DC (formerly National Society of Karina'spanic MBAs). In 2016, they became the Marketing Assistant Manager at the State Department Federal Credit Union. In 2015, Karina was also a Client Lead Associate at Quickstep Catering of Washington.

Karina Valverde obtained a Master's Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University in 2017. Karina also holds a Bachelor's Degree in French and Italian Language and Literature from Dartmouth College.
