Andres Fontao

Andres Fontao is the Co-Founder & Rainmaking Partner, LATAM at Rainmaking, a position they have held since 2013. Prior to joining Rainmaking, Andres was with Startupbootcamp Scale and Startupbootcamp FinTech as a part of their founding team. Andres has also held positions at Finnovista, Monitise Americas, Inc., Bankinter, Valoris, and Big Wireless. Andres began their career in mobile telecommunications at Unefon in 1999 as Mobile Products Manager before moving to TV Azteca in 1997 as Finance and New Business.

Andres Fontao attended IE Business School for both their Vision Management Program and MBA, studying management and leadership as well as entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they completed their BA at Middlebury College in international politics and economics.

They are on a team with Lee Pickrell - Founder & CTO, Rainmaking Venture Studio UK, Kasper Vardrup - Founder & CEO, Rainmaking Venture Studio, Nordics, and Christine Jaram - Associate Partner, UK. Andres Fontao reports to Carsten Kølbek, CEO & co-Founder.
