Akbar Jessani

Akbar Jessani has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Akbar currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of USI USA and Managing Director of RAK Logistics UAE at RAK Logistics. Akbar was previously the Group Head of Compliance and Risk at the same company. Prior to that, they worked as a Group Manager Associate in the Internal Audit Division at Juma Al Majid Group. Akbar also held the position of Assistant Manager in Group Internal Audit & Risk Management at Al Barakah Group of Companies, where they established and managed the group's internal audit function and risk management framework. In the earlier stages of their career, they worked as a Manager at Ernst & Young and a Supervisor at BKR International, focusing on advisory services and external audit respectively. Akbar started their career as a Finance Intern at Aga Khan University Hospital, where they gained experience in fixed assets, procurement, compliance, and inventory management.

Akbar Jessani has a strong educational background in the field of accountancy and finance management. Akbar became a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from 2003 to 2007. During the same period, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, completing their studies in 2008. In 2015, Akbar obtained a Charterd Accountant certification (UAECA) from the Accountants & Auditors Association (AAA). Additionally, they obtained a certification in ISO - Internal Auditor Course from Quality Guru in September 2016.
