Omar Gómez

Omar Gómez has over 10 years of experience in the software engineering field. Omar started their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant at Universidad EAFIT, where they did system and graphics programming using C, C++ and Python. In 2011, they became the CTO of Kogi Mobile, where they hired and trained developers and was a Senior App Architect. Omar then worked as a Mobile Technology Consultant for Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia in 2012, and a Senior Mobile Architect for Tareasplus in the same year. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Mobile Developer for Spectrum Data Technologies, and a Mobile Front-end Engineer for Alliance Tech in 2014. In 2017, they were a Technical Specialist (Senior iOS Developer) for Royal Caribbean International, and in 2018, they were a Technical Specialist (Senior iOS Developer) for The Walt Disney Company. Currently, they are a Sr iOS Mobile Engineer at Rally.

Omar Gómez completed a degree in Ingeniería de Sistemas from EAFIT between 1989 and 1995. In 2012, they completed a Startup Specialist program from the Founder Institute. Additionally, they have obtained two verified certificates from Coursera, a Data Science Specialization in May 2015 and an R Programming certificate in June 2014.
