Derek Brown

Derek Brown has held a variety of roles in the biopharmaceutical industry since 1997. Derek began their career as a Consultant at Accenture and then moved on to Solutions Manager for Consulting Engagements at Intrasphere Technologies. In 2002, they held a Summer Finance Associate role at Pfizer and a Business Consultant role at Woomera Therapeutics Inc. From 2003 to 2015, they held various roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, including Executive Director, Marketing; Executive Director and Global Team Leader, Marketing Pipeline Products, Ingelheim, Germany; Associate Director, Managed Markets Marketing; Associate Director CNS Marketing; Associate Director, Pipeline Marketing; Product Manager, Respiratory; Associate Product Manager, MOBIC; and Senior Marketing Analyst. In 2015, they became Executive Director Global Commercial Lead Ultomiris and Global Soliris PNH Marketing Lead at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In 2018, they became Principal/Owner of Independent Biopharmaceutical Consulting Business at DSB Consulting, and in 2019 they became Vice President Marketing & Commercial Operations at Chiasma / acquired by Amryt Pharma. Derek is currently Global Commercial Development Lead at Rallybio.

Derek Brown received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Cellular Structure and Function from Middlebury College in 1996. Derek then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2003, with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to their Bachelor's degree, they studied Economics and Pre-Medicine at Middlebury College.
