Sondra Downey-Kopyscinski

Senior Scientist at Rancho BioSciences

Sondra Downey-Kopyscinski began their work experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Dartmouth College in 2008. In this role, they worked in the laboratory of Alexei Kisselev, Ph.D., focusing on site-specific proteasome inhibitors and their use in Multiple Myeloma patients. Sondra then continued at Dartmouth College as a Graduate Student from 2011 to 2017, mentored by Alexei Kisselev, Ph.D. During this time, they completed rotations in the labs of James DiRenzo, Ph.D. and others. Sondra was also awarded the Rosaline Borison Memorial Fund Predoctoral Fellowship in 2015-2016. From 2017 to 2020, Sondra worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Currently, they are employed as a Curation Scientist at Rancho BioSciences since 2020.

Sondra Downey-Kopyscinski completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Molecular Biology from Dartmouth College between 2007 and 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the Program in Experimental and Molecular Medicine at Dartmouth College from 2011 to 2017.
