Software Engineer at Rancho BioSciences

Tyler Hill has a diverse work experience starting from a research assistant at Dr. Young Lab in 2013, where they conducted bioassays and developed scanning electron microscope protocols. Tyler then worked as a ski patrol at Mammoth Mountain from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, Tyler became an assistant general manager at Riverstone Climbing Gym. From 2021 to 2021, they worked as a co-op research assistant at Repare Therapeutics. Currently, Tyler holds the position of a software engineer at Rancho BioSciences since March 2023. In their role, they have built a REST API, hosted on AWS, using Python and Django REST framework. Additionally, they have established a Python daemon process for executing bioinformatic workflows in R.

Tyler Hill completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Western Washington University from 2009 to 2015. Tyler then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Bioinformatics at Northeastern University from 2019 to 2021.
