Rob Thomas is R&Q’s Chief Data & Technology Officer. Rob leads R&Q’s enterprise data & automation strategies and oversees the Group’s IT function.
Prior to joining R&Q, Rob most recently worked at CNA as SVP, Claim Analytics, Technology, Supplier Management, Strategy & Operations. While at CNA he implemented robotic process automation, deployed small business claims automation, and helped develop and execute on the enterprise cloud data & analytics strategy. He also led the enterprise data science organization and deployed a data science analytics platform.
Before CNA, Rob was SVP & Chief P&C Actuary at The Hartford where he led pricing, reserving, business intelligence, data science and capital attribution. He brings outstanding experience leading data, analytics and technology functions to deliver innovation and improve organizational efficiency.
Rob holds a BS in Actuarial Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Hartford. He serves on the University of Hartford’s business school Board of Visitors and is a past chair.
