Erin Dunlay is a seasoned communications strategist with a dynamic and unique combination of public relations, public affairs and political experience. Expert at crafting and launching large-scale projects, Dunlay brings her mastery of communications to client partners across diverse industries. Her precision in crafting and executing strategic plans, large-scale initiatives, building and protecting brands as well as executive leadership and amplifying client stories using traditional and innovative digital tools elevates every project to the next level.
As Senior Vice President of Public Relations, Dunlay leads the firm’s public relations practice, bringing a depth of knowledge and forward-thinking strategies that drive effective brand awareness and messaging. She leads teams that craft and execute strategic projects, large-scale initiatives, build and protect brands as well as executive leadership and amplify client stories using traditional and innovative digital tools. She drives strategic and innovative programs and public relations campaigns for major California brands and organizations including Covered California, Dignity Health, Golden 1 Credit Union, the Mattress Recycling Council, and California Family Fitness.
Before joining Randle Communications, Dunlay grew professionally at global, statewide and local public relations firms, where she managed and supported diverse national, statewide and local communications programs. She has experience in digital communications, media relations, grassroots advocacy, issues management, community relations, and event planning. Dunlay has gained expertise in policy areas such as health care, finance, food and consumer products, energy, civil justice, water, building and insurance industries. She also brings tremendous storytelling and media insights given her previous role as a former journalist with the Omaha World-Herald.
Dunlay is a proud graduate of Creighton University and the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Sacramento program. She has long been dedicated to community involvement, including serving as a former President of the Sacramento Public Relations Association, on the River City Food Bank Board of Directors and Metro EDGE.
She and her husband, Ryan, have two children, Madeline and Max, and, as avid sports fans, can often be found taking in a basketball, football or baseball game.
