Job description

Rapid City Medical Center is currently looking for a Site Manager for West River ENT. This position is responsible for coordinating operations and activities of West River ENT and directly supervising the reception team and clinic staff. We are looking for an individual with leadership skills, the ability to problem-solve, and a focus on a positive patient experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Communicates closely with providers to ensure the work systems, staff, and clinic environment are aligned with excellent patient care.

  • During peak times, functions as Patient Services Coordinator or other role as needed to ensure appropriate patient flow.

  • Provides direct supervision to patient service coordinators and clinic staff, to include performance management, and disciplinary actions.

  • Works directly with ENT physicians to help provide supervision of their patient service coordinators, executing any recommendations or actions from those physicians.

  • Ensures compliance with RCMC policy and supports physicians in the development and implementation of clinic specific policies and procedures.

  • Monitors patient flow and proposes adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency.

  • Assists with payroll preparation, accounts payable, and tracking commissions.

  • Ensures compliance with established procedures relating to patient payments, financial agreements, and gathering of insurance information.

  • Serves as primary liaison between West River ENT and all RCMC locations.

  • Works closely with the RCMC Patient Services Manager on ensuring consistent reception processes, performance, and hiring.

  • Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care, working with the nursing staff to ensure clinical needs are met.

  • Identifies and resolves operational problems.

  • Attends management meetings as representative of West River ENT and participates in committees as requested.

  • Conducts West River ENT reception staff meetings as needed.

  • Ensures customer service standards are met or exceeded and assists with complaints as requested.

  • Ensures compliance with established HIPAA procedures and reports concerns to Privacy Officer.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office environment.  Work may require hand dexterity for computer keyboarding, the telephone and other office machine operations.  Sitting for extended periods of time and must be able to view computer screens for extended periods of time.  Work may be stressful at times.  Interaction with others is constant, may be interruptive and may involve dealing with ill patients.  Must maintain patient confidentiality.
