Caitlin Condon

Director, Vulnerability Intelligence at Rapid7

Caitlin Condon has a diverse work experience. Caitlin started their career as an English Language Teacher in 2009, where they taught English to Korean elementary school students and designed curricula for multiple grade levels. From 2010 to 2015, Caitlin worked at StopBadware, initially as a Storyteller (Communications Specialist), where they explained security mechanisms and executed marketing strategies. Later, they became a Program Manager, leading program development and managing initiatives on malware prevalence.

In 2017, Caitlin joined Rapid7 as a Security Community Manager, responsible for overseeing security-focused editorial strategy, managing the blog and social channels, and contributing to communication during cybersecurity incidents. Caitlin then moved into the role of an Open-Source Community Manager for Offensive Security (Metasploit), where they managed developer relations and engaged with the community.

In 2019, Caitlin became a Manager of Software Engineering (Security Research) at Rapid7, managing multiple teams of vulnerability researchers and exploit developers. Caitlin built a cross-functional emergent threat response program and drove vulnerability intelligence reporting. In 2022, Caitlin was promoted to Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Security Research), where they continue to lead and oversee security research efforts.

Caitlin Condon attended the University of Southern California from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Theatre.
