Joe Hendrickson

Joe Hendrickson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Joe recently joined Rapid7 in 2023 as the VP of Business Intelligence. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, they worked at Aledade, Inc. as the Chief Data Architect and VP of Business Intelligence.

Before their roles at Aledade, Inc., Joe worked at athenahealth for a significant period. From 2017 to 2021, they served as the Vice President of Client Analytics and Interventions. Prior to that, they held various positions within the company including Principal Architect (VP of Software Engineering) from 2015 to 2017, Vice President of Data Science and athenaNet Intelligence from 2011 to 2014, Director of Payer Intelligence from 2009 to 2011, Software Architect from 2005 to 2009, Manager of Process Innovation in 2005, and Associate of Denials Analysis from 2003 to 2005.

Before their tenure at athenahealth, Joe was a Research Fellow at RAND from 1999 to 2003, where they worked on interesting projects related to climate change scenario mining. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1996, they served as a Research Analyst at ECONorthwest.

Joe Hendrickson completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics at Reed College from 1989 to 1994. Joe then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1996 and 1999. Joe continued their academic journey and completed a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Policy Analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School from 1999 to 2003.
