Mark Freebairn

Mark Freebairn has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles at different companies. Mark is currently working at Rapid7 as a Software Engineering Manager since February 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Lead Software Engineer from February 2021 to February 2022, and a Senior Software Engineer from January 2019 to February 2021 at the same company. Earlier in their career, Mark worked at CyberSource as a Software Engineer from July 2015 to July 2017, and as an Associate Software Engineer from June 2014 to July 2015.

Mark Freebairn obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Ulster University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including AWS Certified Developer from Amazon Web Services (obtained in May 2018), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (obtained in March 2017), Java SE 7 Programmer 1 from Oracle (obtained in April 2015), and AWS Certified Security - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (obtained in November 2019).
