Matt Schmidt

Matt Schmidt has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Matt started their career as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Computer Aid, Inc. in 2011. Matt then joined CSC, where they served as an Information Security Incident Analytics Specialist, responsible for real-time monitoring of SIEMs, investigating security incidents, and utilizing various security technologies. Matt was also the StrikeForce North America Team Lead at CSC. In 2015, Matt joined Rapid7 as a Senior Security Consultant, where they conducted penetration testing. Matt later took on roles as Principal Security Consultant and Manager in the same field. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager, Penetration Testing at Rapid7.

Matt Schmidt received their Bachelor of Science degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University, which they attended from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Level II Certificate in Network and Communications Management and Information Technology from Salem County Vocational, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Matt also obtained their high school diploma from Woodstown High School in 2005. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including Metasploit Pro Certified Specialist from Rapid7 in August 2015, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in April 2014, and Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) from Offensive Security in June 2013. Matt also holds certifications in Security+ from CompTIA in 2013, Network+ from CompTIA in 2006, and A+ from CompTIA in 2005.
