RapidAI – where AI meets patient care. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, enabling frequent and reliable releases utilizing the Codefresh CI/CD platform.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools such as Terraform and Ansible to define and manage infrastructure resources programmatically, ensuring consistency and reproducibility across environments.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Implement containerization using AWS EKS and orchestrate containerized applications with Kubernetes to achieve scalability, resilience, and portability.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, etc.) to enable tracking system performance, identification of issues, and assist engineering teams proactively troubleshooting potential problems.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automation workflows using scripting languages like Python & Bash to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Configuration Management: Manage configuration drift and enforce desired state configurations using tools like Ansible, ensuring consistency and compliance across servers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to promote a DevOps culture, facilitate knowledge sharing, and drive collaboration towards common goals.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) throughout the software delivery pipeline, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Capacity Planning and Optimization: Monitor resource utilization, analyze performance metrics, and conduct capacity planning to optimize infrastructure resources and support business growth within agreed upon financial constraints.
  • Requirements Gathering: Meet with product engineering teams to document requirements and work requests into Jira stories.
  • Author technical documentation. Document processes and procedures into Atlassian Confluence.
  • This position does not have direct reports.
  • Perform any other related activities assigned by reporting manager.

Education, Experience, and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate Degree preferred) in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 10+ year’s experience in DevOps / SRE, preferably in a start-up environment.
  • Expertise in AWS Administration, Architecture, Security and Networking.
  • Expertise developing IaC leveraging Terraform.
  • Expertise in CI/CD leveraging Codefresh.
  • Expertise in GitOps inclusive of code management and PR processing.
  • Expertise in leveraging container-based technologies inclusive of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and AWS EKS.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices leveraging Jira.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, GDPR and other regulatory frameworks guiding the use of personally identifiable datasets.
  • Exceptional communication & teamwork skills relevant to engaging a globally distributed and culturally, geographically, & time zone diverse team.
  • Ability / willingness to participate in meetings during morning office hours in Pacific time zone (HQ is in Silicon Valley, California).
