Maiez Syed

Maiez Syed has a diverse work experience spanning various industries, including technology, retail, and finance. Beginning in 2006, Maiez worked as a Producer, Director, and TV Presenter for Business Recorder/Play TV and TradeServe International/MastFM 103, where they hosted music shows, concerts, and youth-based programs. In 2009, they joined Allied Bank Limited as an Assistant Manager, contributing to HR process re-engineering and leading IT projects. In 2010, Maiez joined IBM as a Problem and Change Management professional, where they achieved 3 promotions within a year and became an Account Focal for key clients. In 2011, they worked at JPMorgan Chase as a Change Manager, overseeing change management controls and leading an acquisition project. From 2012 to 2020, Maiez held various roles at Walgreens, including Senior Manager IT, PMO - Project Execution Leader, and Delivery Lead, where they led transformation initiatives and utilized cloud-based services to support omni-channel and digital initiatives. In 2020, they worked at JCPenney as a Senior Manager - Enterprise Solutions, managing the development and deployment of solutions for in-store mobility. Most recently, since 2021, Maiez has been working at Bed Bath & Beyond as a Director, Store and Marketing Technology, responsible for leading customer experience and engagement technology for multiple chains. Currently, Maiez holds the position of VP, Technology at RAPP.

Maiez Syed earned a BEng degree in Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed an Access Course in Computing at Dudley College from 1999 to 2000. In addition, they have obtained certifications including AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner, ITIL Continual Service Improvement (ITIL-CSI), and Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification.
