Carlos Quintana

Carlos Quintana has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Carlos is currently the Head of Business Systems at RappiCard México, where they manage multiple departments including IT Engineering, Data Engineering, Process Engineering, and Machine Learning Operations. Their main responsibilities include contributing to the design and governance of business solutions, developing and implementing technology projects, and applying a comprehensive understanding of functional areas and business principles.

Prior to their current role, Carlos worked as a Software Architect at Visdom from 2019 to 2022. During this time, they investigated and implemented new technologies to support fast-paced development, built scalable solutions for financial services, and gained experience in complex financial systems.

From 2017 to 2019, Carlos served as an Information Technology Manager at ALTEUM, focusing on the interregional development of blockchain solutions. Their responsibilities included project management and blockchain research and development.

Carlos also worked as a Senior Information Technology Analyst at Copanga in 2017, where they managed project tasks, programmed logic for critical financial systems, and provided quality client service and support.

From 2011 to 2017, Carlos was a Project Lead at AMIGE, overseeing the development, implementation, and operation of real-time software for the steel industry. Carlos also led a team of programmers and ensured the compliance of programmed code standards.

Carlos began their career as the Head of Intelligent Systems Laboratory and Research Assistant at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2009 to 2011. Here, they focused on the development of hardware and software for humanoid robots and participated in robotics and artificial intelligence events and conferences.

Lastly, Carlos worked as a Maintenance Engineer at GREM Grupo Radio Estéreo Mayrán in 2008, where they were responsible for the maintenance of power signal amplifiers, audio playback systems, enterprise servers, and computers.

Carlos Quintana obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Instituto Tecnológico de La Laguna, which they attended from 2004 to 2009. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, Carlos pursued a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Systems at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
