Nicole J. Burns

Nicole J. Burns is a highly experienced scientist with a diverse background in clinical genomics and project management. Currently serving as a Variant Analyst at Children's Hospital Colorado and a Medical and Scientific Content Developer at Rare Genomics Institute, Nicole also holds a position as a Clinical Variant Scientist at Mayo Clinic. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Illumina as a Senior Clinical Genomics Scientist, where expert analysis and reporting of germline variants were conducted. Nicole has also held roles in R&D project management at Merz Aesthetics, reagent development at Roche NimbleGen, and laboratory research support at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Educational qualifications include M.S. degrees in Biotechnology and Project Management and a B.S. in Entomology from the University of Wisconsin system.
