Savitri V. Dixon-Saxon

Savitri V. Dixon Saxon is the Senior Vice President and Provost at Rasmussen College. Savitri has over seventeen years of experience in higher education and has been with Rasmussen College since May of 2005. Prior to their current position, they served as the Vice Provost at Walden University and as an adjunct faculty member at North Carolina Central University.

Saxon is a highly experienced administrator and academic leader. Savitri is responsible for overseeing the academic integrity of Rasmussen College’s Division of Healthcare Access and Quality and three colleges therein: the College of Allied Health, the College of Nursing, and the College of Social and Behavioral Health. In addition to their academic leadership responsibilities, Saxon also manages the division’s budget, personnel, and operations.

Under Saxon’s leadership, the Division of Healthcare Access and Quality has flourished. Savitri has successfully implemented initiatives that have resulted in increased student retention and satisfaction, improved faculty morale, and increased graduation rates. Saxon is widely respected by their colleagues and peers for their dedication to their work and their commitment to ensuring that Rasmussen College provides its students with a quality education.

Savitri V. Dixon Saxon has an MBA from Walden University with a specialization in leadership. Savitri also has a Ph.D. in counselor education from North Carolina State University, an M.Ed in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelors of Arts in journalism and mass communication from the University of South Carolina.

They work with Lori Jonason - Vice President of Central Student Operations, John Smith-Coppes - Vice President and Executive Director of Nursing, and Kailyn Hauck - Assistant Vice President, Learning and Teaching. Savitri V. Dixon Saxon reports to Javier Miyares, Acting President.
