Mariam Bagersh has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2011, they interned as a Budgeting Intern at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. In 2013, they started working as a Freelance Graphic Designer, focusing on UX Design, Product Design, Design strategy, and Brand strategy. Mariam has a passion for working in the realms of accessibility, healthcare, and education. In 2014, they interned as a Junior Designer at BrandMoxie. In 2017, they co-founded Fricanduo and worked as a Co-Founder. During the same year, they also worked as a Junior Art Director at blow LTD. In 2018, they held the role of Creative in Residence at Livity, where they worked on a self-initiated project called 'Missing Scripts' which focuses on digitizing African scripts. Mariam also worked as a Group Facilitator for ITCILO in the same year. In 2020, they joined Suvera as a Design Consultant. Currently, Mariam is working as a Product Designer at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, starting in June 2021.

Mariam Bagersh has a diverse education history that includes a Bachelor's degree in Typography and Graphic Communication from the University of Reading. This degree was completed from 2014 to 2017 and focused on design and visual communications. In 2016, Mariam studied abroad at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Germany, where they pursued media design. Prior to their time in design, Mariam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Reading from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Mariam has obtained certifications in Systems Thinking and Learning Design Research from LinkedIn. Mariam received the Systems Thinking certification in February 2021 and the Learning Design Research certification in October 2020.
