Deepak Sharma has over 17 years of work experience in various roles related to data science, artificial intelligence, and engineering. Deepak is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at RateGain, where they work closely with cross-functional teams to bring products to market and ensures that projects are completed within budget. Deepak also manages direct reports, recruits new hires, identifies skills gaps, and provides growth opportunities for engineering managers.
Prior to their current role, Deepak worked as an Adjunct Faculty of Data Science at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and as an AI Advisor at FarmFetch, where they led the AI strategy vertical and built AI solutions for recommending produce to sellers and buyers.
Before that, Deepak worked as the Chief Data Scientist at Within Cloud, where they developed AI applications to improve business processes and collaborated with different teams to drive the AI product roadmap. Deepak also served as a Data Scientist at Think Big Analytics, a Teradata Company, and as a Principal Data Scientist at BD's R&D division.
Deepak's earlier experiences include roles as a Data Scientist at Kronos, a Senior Consultant at Capgemini, a Project Lead at CSC, and a Software Engineer at CSC. Deepak started their career as a MTS at Network Programs India.

Deepak Sharma obtained a PGP degree in Marketing and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, they also acquired an International Immersion degree in the European Business Environment from ESCP Business School. Deepak completed a Certification Program in Business Analytics from the Indian School of Business in 2014 and 2015. Deepak completed their schooling from DAV Public School in the years 1987 to 2000. Additionally, they hold certifications in AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in June 2022, SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9: Regression and Modeling Credential from SAS obtained in 2015, and SAS Base from SAS obtained in 2014.
