Miquel Lobato

Miquel Lobato, MBA, Chartered MCSI has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Miquel is currently working as the Head of Front Office Investment Risk at Rathbones Group Plc since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Suitability Manager at the same company from April 2019 to April 2022. From May 2017 to April 2019, Miquel worked as the Investment Risk - QC Team Manager at Rathbones Group Plc.

Before joining Rathbones Group Plc, Miquel served as the Company Director at Lobato-Jones Ltd from July 2016 to December 2017. Miquel also has experience working at HSBC, where they held the roles of Investment Review Team Manager from October 2014 to July 2016 and Wealth Reviewer from May 2014 to October 2014.

In addition to their corporate roles, Miquel also has experience as a self-employed Project Manager/Business Analyst from May 2010 to April 2014. During this time, they worked on various projects including launching a new start-up company, downsizing a construction company, and consulting on the viability of public services in Spain.

Miquel Lobato completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physical Chemistry from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between the years 1987 and 1992. In addition to their academic qualifications, Miquel Lobato has a number of professional certifications. Miquel obtained a Certificate in ESG investing from CFA UK in July 2021. In August 2018, they obtained a Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. In February 2018, they also obtained a Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Furthermore, they achieved an Award in Pensions Update from the same institution in August 2017. In March 2017, Miquel Lobato obtained a Certificate in Mortgage Advice, and finally, in July 2014, they obtained a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, both from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
